An important University Education — The level of You may not Learn about?

University, the final stage in top level education. We all know the proposed outcome of a university education, a qualification and the possibility to getting a better job. But simply how much more does a university education give you that self studying doesn’t? And wouldn’t self study be described as a lot cheaper than spending grands on a university education?

Now I went university myself. I done a two year HND and was put straight onto the final year of their education as my effects were very good ราชภัฏสวนสุนันทา (If your effects were just average they’d place you onto the 2nd year instead or not let you keep on at all). But this is where the difficulties kicked in. 36 months studying is proper, especially on top of a time of prior education. People lose the will to study at different times, sometimes before they finish secondary, sometime in college, and in my case towards the end of my university education. Now the job wasn’t hard for me, I recently completely lost curiosity about doing it. I could leave all could work till the final minute (Something I never did when I was motivated), rush my essays and not meet the phrase count. Exactly why is this I ask, is university education too much time?

Looking back, I can easily see that university education did help me, but wouldn’t do the same for everyone. University learning is basically learning from books. You go to lesson, the teacher talks to you about book extracts, they offer you a printout from a guide, then let you know to go and read that book. Then for your assignment, you reword a guide in your words and give your opinion in regards to the book or subject in the book. That’s it. Like I said, university did benefit me. But when you’ve the skills to sit down and read a guide all day long, you may learn anything else yourself for a whole lot cheaper. This of course isn’t true for more practical subjects such as art, however there’s always exceptions to the rule.

Why pay those thousands in university fees if you can learn everything yourself for a whole lot cheaper? Well, for a start there’s the social side of it. Many people before their university education remain living at home with their parents. University gives them the ability to achieve some independence and live independently or with friends. It is also more social then simply going straight into work where you see the same faces everyday. There’s also the main benefit of getting the qualification paper by the end of one’s university education. While self study could provide you with the knowledge you’d require to do work, plenty of companies would prefer to hire someone that’s a qualification to back up their knowledge, instead of taking someone’s word for it.

You are able to learn a whole lot from university (I more found skills, such as understanding how to self study and presentation skills) although I’m the method is too much time and could be shortened down. Due to the fact a whole lot of the time directed at’study’is wasted by students doing nothing, I’m a more intensive two year course would be well suited for many individuals who would like to have the university experience but take off a third of the time.
